How to Prepare a Japanese Barbecue

Eating good food is always a delight and being able to make it in the comfort of your home is exceptional. Many Japanese restaurants offer their clients a taste of Yakiniku, which is the Japanese term for barbecue. The chefs from those restaurants have revealed the secrets that make the barbeque so mouth-watering. Here are a few tips you could use while preparing a Japanese barbeque.

Sauce

One thing that you should never undervalue in any dish is the power of the sauce. Yakiniku is a dish that is compatible with many types of sauces to produce different flavours. The main sauce that accompanies a Japanese barbecue is soy sauce. To make it, you will need sugar, salt, garlic, ginger and shichimi. All the ingredients are added into a bowl, and the garlic and ginger are grated, then the mixture is stirred. Some sesame seeds and oil are poured into the same container as stirring continues. After it is made, the sauce is shared among the guests in small portions.

Cooking

A Japanese barbecue is served in small morsels. Therefore, all the meat and vegetables to be used are cut into smaller pieces. The smaller the slices made, the easier it shall be for you to cook them. Japanese cooking is simple, and therefore, the ingredients needed are few. To properly prepare the barbecue, a small grill plate and a portable stove are placed on the table. The pieces of meat and vegetables sliced initially are carefully grilled.

Serving

For the barbecue to be served fittingly, a side dish is required. The main dish is only as tasty as the side dishes prepared. Therefore, ensure that the side dish you choose complements the barbecue. Most of the time, people use rice as the side dish for the barbecue, and many people have praised the combination. The rice used can be prepared by any method you prefer.
